Spring is my favorite season. Days grow longer and the sun gives us more time to play on this planet. Nature is awakening from its winter slumber, the air is filled with birdsongs, the earth is orgasming through blossoms in every corner.
Besides this beautiful feast for the senses, spring is life's poetry and a metaphor for rebirth from winter, a season of possibility and promise. A season of external transformation, but also a time for introspection and renewal of the soul. We witness the world around us bursting forth in all its glory, and are reminded of our own capacity for growth and change.
It is the best time for spring cleaning, clearing out our accumulated dust and debris from the winter, and creating space for flowers to blossom.
What I am letting go this season?
Expectations: Letting go of expectations about how life should be. I am embracing fluidity and non-attachment to the outcome, trusting the perfection of each moment I am in.
Perfectionism: Perfectionism is boring and just a fancier word for procrastination. It is a disservice to one's creativity and uniqueness.
Regrets: Trusting that every "misstep" has been the universe protecting me and re-directing me to where I should be.
Comparison: In a beautiful fruit garden, the lemon tree does not wish it was an orange tree. Every plant is there for a reason.
Negative Self-Talk: Falling in love with myself means talking to myself the way I would talk to my lover.
Fear of Failure: Success is not permanent, failure is not final. It is the courage to continue that counts.
Relationships: By prioritizing the relationship to one-self, the right people will stay and the wrong people will naturally fall behind. People can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves.
